[no_toc] What Is Colon Cleansing

Colon cleansing is a common term used in the biological field. There is also another name for colon cleansing namely colon therapy. Both mean one and the same and should not be confused.

The main idea of doing a colon cleanses is to clean the toxic items in the human body such as the faeces. Faeces cause many harmful side-effects to the human body and hence they should be removed and they can be removed only by the colon therapy.

Colon cleansing can be implemented by means of colon hydrotherapy. Now, colon hydrotherapy is also called as colonic and it has another name as colonic irrigation. Ever since the use of internet has drastically increased, the manufacturing of colon supplements has also improved significantly.

Doctors use enema, an equipment that is generally used to inject water into the body through the mouth. This sudden gush of water can sweep off the faeces in the body and thus the body becomes free of these toxic items. Sometimes, plain water is alone not injected into the body. The water is mixed with some medical herbs or any liquid and then it is sent into the body with the help of the modern equipments that are available for use.

Many medical research specialists claim that the sticking of the faeces on the walls of the large intestine causes many stomach disorders and other health problems and they often stress the need for every human over the age of 40 to undergo a colon therapy. These discoveries date back to the period of the ancient Egyptians and Greeks and present day doctors have taken over these techniques from them.

There are some blows to this technique because there is another school of thought that the bowel inside the body is not at all dirty and the bowel can clean itself naturally provided that the patient has not used any drugs or any other harmful sedative of late.
