Roll On Lip Gloss
Lips are definitely one of the most sensitive organs of the body. Fuller and healthy lips improve the overall look of a woman. Hence, it’s important to take good care of lips to retain the charm. Unfortunately, the skin on your lips lack oil glands. Therefore, they need to be protected by supplying additional oil-rich ingredients.
Basically, the skin on lips is very thin and cannot produce oil. The absence of natural oil on lips is responsible for lip cracking, chapping or peeling problems. A rich lip balm can be a suitable supplement for giving the required oil content to your lips.
Lip balm is one of the many important lip care products available for people who stay in sun for long. In fact, you can find a lip balm with sun-blocking agents to moisten your lips. Drink water in an adequate quantity to moisturize your lips.
You can use lip care products such as lipsticks. Lipsticks are the best way to add colour and shine to your lips. They come in a variety of colours, from traditional red, pink, brown to the shades and unimaginable combined colours. With the popularity of cosmetic industry, lipsticks can be tried out to check its look and effect.
Many lipstick making companies use artificial colours made from coal tar or petroleum-base synthetics. So, before buying a lipstick, it is important to check well. Women who are allergic to chemicals should choose lipsticks made with natural/organic compounds.
Another effective lip care product is lip stains. Lip stains are generally lighter in weight than lipsticks. Being available in different colours, lip stains supply adequate oil to your lips and improve its look. In addition, lip gloss can be used to moisturize your lips and gives a shiny look. Grab one from the range of transparent gloss to a coloured gloss.
Nowadays, gloss with glitters is gaining popularity among teenagers. Lip gloss enhances the shape of the lips and gives a clean line around the edges of the lips.
Choices are endless. But choose wisely to retain the beauty of your lips for long. Rosy Maxlips, for example, comes with the comprehensive treatment solution that nourishes and strengthens your lips to make them softer and attractive for a long time.
7 Tips for Choosing the Perfect Lip Gloss
How to choose lip gloss? You’ve been standing at the makeup counter for an hour, and have tried on more glosses than you knew existed, and still the question remains. Well, my dear, I can help. There are a lot of things to consider when choosing a lip gloss, many of which you can answer before you even hit Sephora. Here are 7 tips on how to choose lip gloss. Pucker up and let’s go!
1. Consider Budget
The first thing to think about when choosing a lip gloss is how much you have to spend. If you’re on a shoestring budget, you won’t want to torture yourself by visiting the MAC counter. Try the drugstore brands first — there are a lot of great glosses to choose from there, like Burt’s Bees.
2. Think about Application
Do you prefer a little pot of gloss, or a stick, or a brush applicator? Think about the sort of applicator you’ll like using best, and what you just think is messy. Even if a gloss looks and feels great, if it’s going to sit at the bottom of your makeup bag because you hate the applicator, don’t bother buying it.
3. Know Your Palette
It’s also important to think about the colours that look good on you, with your complexion, when you’re choosing a lip gloss. Olive-skinned girls ought to avoid yellow-based hues, and go for more of a blue-based colour palette. Know what you’re looking for before you get frustrated trying on 1,000 lip glosses you love, but that don’t flatter your complexion.
4. Do You Want Glitter or No?
I’m not a teenager, so I can’t wear glittery glosses, but some girls can. Figure out which sort of lip gloss you want, glittery or shimmery or flat, before you shop.
5. Does It Contain SPF?
Most of us remember to wear sun block on our faces, but not our lips, so some glosses have built-in SPF protection, which is brilliant! When you’re thinking about how to choose lip gloss, check the labels and see if any of the ones you like offer SPF protection… and go for those!
6. How Long Will It Last?
Are you looking for a lip gloss to keep your pucker pretty all day, or are you willing to do touch-ups? If you don’t want to re-apply, consider a gloss with lip stain in it. Otherwise, be prepared to apply your gloss every few hours.
7. Will You Smooch Anyone?
Last but certainly not least, consider whether or not you’ll be kissing anyone, either on the lips (hello!) or the cheek while you’re wearing this gloss. Some will leave kissy-prints on cheeks but some won’t; some have lush flavours and scents your guy may like (or loathe). Consider this when choosing a lip gloss, too! A quick smooch on the back of your hand is a good indicator of how well your gloss will withstand the kiss-test.
Now that you know all there is to know about how to choose lip gloss, you’re ready to try some on! Which of these tips do you think is most helpful?
How to Make Lip Gloss With Petroleum Jelly
Lip-Gloss-1
Lip gloss adds subtle shine and colour to your lips. There are a myriad of options, from clear gloss to sheer red lip gloss. If you are on a budget, or just have a do-it-yourself nature, learn how to make lip gloss with petroleum jelly. This is a cost effective project that is quick and easy to do.
Things you’ll Need:
- Lipstick
- Bobby pin
- Small container with lid
- Spoon
- Vanilla extract
- Glitter
Use the end of a bobby pin to scoop out leftover lipstick from old tubes. If you do not have a bobby pin nearby, any small device will work. Use lipstick from any colour that you like, red or pink.
Scrape the ends of the lipstick out of the tub and into a small container. Put one tsp. Of petroleum jelly in the container and stir it with a spoon. If you want to make different colours of lip gloss, create one batch for pink lip gloss and more for each additional colour.
Squeeze one drop of real vanilla extract into each batch. Mix it in thoroughly with a spoon.
Put a tiny amount of glitter into the petroleum jelly. The glitter must be non-toxic. One option is to use glitter that is used for cake decorating.
Put a lid on top of the small container. Set it in the refrigerator for at least two hours before using it. This helps firm it up. Keep it in the refrigerator if you want it to be firm and also cool on your lips. It is also perfectly fine to keep it outside of the fridge.
