How To Make An Anti Cellulite Massage Oil
It is possible to eradicate cellulite from your body; but anyone who tells you there is an overnight solution, is not telling you the entire truth. The use of anti cellulite massage oil has continued to gain popularity and there is really no harm giving it a trial. The best way to deal with cellulite is to try and increase circulation, whose failure is actually among the main reason fat deposits get embedded in the skin and also trying to strengthen the skin’s connective tissue.
Benefits of anti cellulite massage oils
Cellulite is actually a collection of water logged fat cells under the skin and because they are bulky they end up pressing upon your blood vessels and hampering circulation in the process. The kind of anti cellulite treatment that works must undo these problems vigorously and this where the use of anti cellulite massage oils becomes effective. When this is combined with the use of a proper diet and exercise the appearance of your skin will improve tremendously.
The other advantage of using cellulite essential oils is that fact that there will be a reduction of water retention, detoxification and cleansing of the blood.
A simple recipe of an anti cellulite oil
To make the simplest of all spicy anti cellulite massage oils you will need: 1/4 cup hazelnut oil, 1/4 cup jojoba oil, 10 drops cinnamon-leaf essential oil, 10 drops juniper essential oil, 10 drops rosemary essential oil, 10 drops cypress essential oil and 5 drops orange essential oil. If you need to make the fruity version you will need, 1/4 cup hazelnut oil, 1/4 cup jojoba oil, 10 drops cypress essential oil, 8 drops grapefruit essential oil, 7 drops cedar wood essential oil, 5 drops orange essential oil, 5 drops lemon essential oil and 5 drops lime essential oil.
The procedure involves pouring all the ingredients in a watertight bottle and having them mixed thoroughly. Once you have done the mixture well it can be stored safely for over six months and use it as often as is needed. You only need to remember that since the fruity version has some citrus oil in it, it may cause some sensitivity especially when the skin gets exposed to direct sunlight. That means that you should avoid using this oil if you will be stepping out to the sun because the spots that appear as a result will take too long to fade.
Applying to oil
You need to take a shower or a warm bath before you begin the application but you must finish off with a cold rinse. Get a sisal brush with which to gently rub the areas that are affected by cellulite beginning from the feet as you move upwards stopping when the skin is just beginning to become red. Then apply the anti cellulite massage oil firmly also beginning from the foot and rub in until the oil is completely absorbed and repeat daily until you see results.
Essential Oils for Cellulite Treatment
Cellulite develops when the connective tissue that retains fat cells becomes weak allowing those fat cells to expand and push up against the skin causing the characteristic bumps and lumps that we all associate with cellulite.
The essential oils must be mixed with suitable carrier oil and then massaged on to affected areas every day immediately after a bath or shower.
Make the massage movements firm and stimulating, always applying pressure on the stroke working towards the heart. Massage should be avoided in areas where there are varicose veins.
By using a soft body brush on the skin before the bath or shower or using a loofah or scrub in the bath or shower the subsequent massage with essential oils becomes all the more effective.
Essential oils can also be added to a bath as a soak. Once again the oils can be selected from any of the citrus group – Lemon, Grapefruit or Orange plus a selection from Cypress, Juniper, Lavender and Rosemary. Choose a maximum of 4 oils and add 3 drops of each to a bath.
As for the massage, the essential oil bath soak is more effective if the skin is brushed prior to the bath or scrubbed whilst in the bath.
Essential oils are pleasant and easy to use. Many essential oils are not suitable for use in pregnancy and in this situation it is better and safer to consult with a qualified aroma therapist before self treating.
The use of oils alone will, unfortunately be enough to rid your body of cellulite, although they will help. It is also necessary to make diet and lifestyle changes to eliminate excess fat and to also strengthen connective tissue.
